There are health care services throughout Toronto, even if you do not have medical insurance. In an emergency, you cannot be refused service at the hospital, even without a health card. In this case, the hospital will present you with a bill. Prices vary between hospitals. If you cannot pay, the hospital will pass the bill on to a collection agency. For a fee you can also access walk-in health care services. These clinics do not offer appointments, but on average cost $60/visit and have variable hours.
