That is why McMillan is pleased to support the Canadian Ukrainian Immigrant Aid Society (CUIAS) with a donation to help them continue their work aiding displaced Ukrainian citizens, through difficult times.

As 2022 draws to a close, the Ukrainians fleeing from the ongoing destruction of their homeland will continue to arrive in Canada, seeking help and support.
The Canadian Ukrainian Immigrant Aid Society (CUIAS) has been the frontline organization providing settlement and adaptation services for newcomers for the past 45 years. Currently, CUIAS is directly involved welcoming and assisting displaced Ukrainians seeking safety in Canada.
We are immensely grateful to McMillan LLP for their support. Your contribution is invaluable, as we continue our work aiding Ukrainian newcomers, including vulnerable families in crisis, mothers with children, and seniors, through these difficult and trying times.

In the four weeks since Russia launched an all-out assault on Ukraine, purposely targeting and murdering civilians, almost 4 million people have been forced to leave Ukraine. This is the gravest humanitarian crisis in Europe since WWII. We are immensely grateful to the many people, businesses, and institutions in Canada who are ready to provide assistance to Ukrainians displaced by Russia’s war.
Our very special thanks goes to CIBC for their generous financial contribution in support of our work assisting Ukrainians that are seeking refuge in Canada. HOUSING FOR TEMPORARILY DISPLACED UKRAINIANS IN CANADA
As a result of the war in Ukraine, almost 2 million Ukrainians have been forced to flee their home country and seek refuge in other countries. Agencies and volunteers in various countries are trying to mobilize as many resources as possible and finding housing is one of the key, but also one of the more difficult needs to address. With this in mind, anyone planning or already traveling to Canada should make every effort to try to find temporary accommodation.
Because of the large numbers of people that are going to arrive, local volunteers will not be able to find housing for everyone who needs it.
To this end, several new platforms have been created, and existing ones have created additional opportunities to find temporary housing upon arrival in Canada.
Below are links to these platforms, where you can post your search information and see what accommodation is offered.
You can also use these applications, if you want to shelter Ukrainians by providing information about the places you can offer.

CANADIAN GOVERNMENT DROPS COVID-19 TESTING FOR FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELLERS AS OF APRIL 1
Declaring Canada in a “transition phase” in the COVID-19 pandemic, federal officials have announced that fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada will not have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test as of April 1.
Passengers may still be subjected to random PCR testing at the airport—in part to monitor for new variants— though they will not be required to isolate while awaiting their results.
Unvaccinated and partially-vaccinated travellers will still face pre-entry, on-arrival testing and quarantine requirements.
All travellers will still have to use the ArriveCAN app or online form to enter their proof of vaccination and other required information within 72 hours before their arrival in Canada. Travellers who do not complete this submission may face testing and isolation requirements, regardless of vaccination status, according to the government.

The requirement to be fully vaccinated in order to board federally regulated air, rail, and marine transportation remains in effect, with the government indicating no intention to lift their proof of vaccine policy for travel at this time.
