- Buying a House
- You have the option of either buying a plot of land and having a builder construct a new home for you, or buying an existing home from the owner. In any case, there are many legal and financial matters to consider when buying a home.
- If you are building a new home, make sure that the builder is registered with Tarion Warranty Corporation, an organization which will protect you from any violations of the Building Code on the part of the builder.
- If you are buying an existing home, you should contact a real estate agent who is registered with the Ontario Real Estate Association. A real estate agent will help you find a house and will help you throughout the buying process.
- You may need a professional to help you buy your first home. Ontario Real Estate Agents can be found here.
