Immigrating to a new country can be stressful and can have many implications on your mental health. If you feel that you are experiencing any form of mental health issues such as stress, depression or anxiety and want to get help, you will need to visit your family doctor first who will refer you to a mental health professional.

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)

  • Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction hospital that provides various in-patient and out-patient services and programs for people living with mental health issues.

Mental Health Services for Youth– NEW!

  • Delisle Youth Services – provides counselling, therapy and support services for youth (11-25) with mental health issues or who have complex special needs.

  • ”What’s Up” walk in clinic at East Metro Youth Services (Scarborough) offers free mental health and addictions counselling for youth and families to help with issues like depression, bullying, sexual identity, behavioural concerns, etc. No health card or appointment required. They have partner agencies that offer this clinic as well in Toronto and Etobicoke.
