Important update for Canadians hoping to reunite with parents and grandparents

Starting July 28, 2025, 17,860 Canadians who submitted an interest-to-sponsor form in 2020 will begin receiving invitations to apply to sponsor their parents and grandparents for permanent residency.

IRCC aims to accept up to 10,000 complete applications under the federal Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP).

- If you submitted your form in 2020 — check your inbox (including junk/spam folders).

- If you don't receive an invitation — you can still apply for a Super Visa, which allows parents and grandparents to stay in Canada for up to 5 years per visit, extendable by another 2 years.

💬 CUIAS Immigrant Services is here to support you with sponsorship programs, Super Visas, and any questions you may have. Reach out to our team — we're here to help!
