Family Law Information Centre (FLIC)

  • Family Law Information Centres are available in family courts across Ontario. They can provide information on separation, divorce, family justice services, alternative forms of dispute resolution, the court process and community resources. Information and Referral Coordinators (IRCs) can assess your needs and refer you to appropriate services, and provide guidance on other ways to solve family issues without going to court.
Here is a list of FLIC offices throughout Ontario. For more information, visit the Ministry of the Attorney General.

  • Family Law Information Program is an online resource that was developed by Legal Aid Ontario for families and spouses who would benefit from understanding the family justice system. The content in the program provides information on legal and practical issues related to child custody, support payments, property settlements, and shared parenting. It also explains legal definitions, and delivers information on legal representation, dispute resolution, and the family court process in general.
