Land Acknowledgement
We at CUIAS Immigrant Services respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. Today, it is home to a diverse community of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
We also recognize that the area now known as Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. As we carry out our work, we honor the enduring relationship between Indigenous peoples and this land.
